Will Chars be wiped?

Im wondering if our chars will be wiped because ive been fighting these damn hackers all day and finally got to RR40 and i was wondering if that was all in vain??? ~ Skargrim

How did you manage to get to RR40?

I have played the original Warhammer since day 0 and have seen RR in there was WAY slower.

After 3-4 months people at RR40 were regarded as "committed", how did you do that in one day?

If it's just by killing people and not cheating, then there's something incredibly wrong with this server.
If they want to reinstate the original Warhammer then it should not possible to get to half RR cap in one day.

Renown ranks and renown gain rate aren't tuned yet. And yes, characters prob will get deleted. Don't be too sad about it though, its not a real game yet. Just testing.

yes it is that easy, however i have been playing since 6 am this morning and its 3 now so its not a ridiculous as you would think, but there is still a large Renown yield for PKing

No offence, dude... but don't you feel that this is just a tiny bit off yourself? I just looked up your toon in the Armory - and you're only R4, for crying out loud.

I don't know if you've ever played WAR back in it's early days - before there were tons of high RR players running around everywhere, and before all kinds of renown boosters were introduced - but getting from RR0 to RR40 takes a lot longer than just half a day of killing lowbies.

That's because renown is screwed up atm. Nukeyoo posted a SS of a solo kill giving him around 46k renown.

So yes, characters definitely need to be deleted once beta is over.

That it is "possible" on this private server right now, doesn't make it "as planned" and honestly, I don't care if it takes a few more days before it gets fixed and all characters wiped out, just to "take away" more of your time thinking you can just abuse the very first critical / gamebreaking bug and nobody cares.

WAR might be anything but a Grinding-Game, still the progression to end-gear (aka. RR) takes a very, very long time. It just happens to be so that it doesn't really matter if you play in Tier 1 or Tier 4, it's always the same fun PvP. But you just don't make RR40 in half a day while still in Tier 1; RR40 is something that should normally take at least a week of (excessive) RvR.
