Patcher Help: Required OS

Hey guys!

First and foremost, I want to thank you guys for trying your hardest to revive my favorite game of all time!
I've downloaded the patcher, but upon launching it I got the message that it wasn't compatible with 64bit. After that I noticed the update for the X64 launcher and downloaded that. However, when I launched that, I got this message:

System.ComponentModel.Win32Exception (0X80004005): The specified executable
is not a valid application for this OS platform.
at System.Diagnostics.Process.StartWithShellExecuteEx(ProcessStartInfo
startInfo)
at WarEmu.Form1.StartClient(String Token)
at Launcher.Client.Handle(PacketIn packet)

The OS that I'm using now is Vista, so I assume that I'll need Windows 7 or later?
If anyone can't help me with this, then I would appreciate you FOR LIFE.

Same thing here : seems that Windows 7 64bits isn't supported because WAR.exe is a 16-bits executable. Any hope of supporting it in the future ?

How many times... 64-bit is supported. If the game isn't running it's probably because you've done something wrong.

Read viewtopic.php?f=5&t=341

Do everything that it says. If that still doesn't work, post again.

Thanks for the post! Does this apply to Vista as well, or should I download a torrent of Windows 7 OS?
I played WAR until closing day, so I have 1.4.8, and I tried running it with Vista as Admin, but still nothing..

Windows 7 64bit is 100...00% support WAR client, and WinRAR had 64bit version (free), you can find it from www.winrar.com/ and choose the 64bit exe. Last things, there are some people was using optimized Tweak the windows, something like that. I had one before, and it made up a issue to my torrent uplink, it deleted some files and put them into junk Just caution!
